Privacy
What we collect, and what we do with it.
Two things reach us from this site: what you type into the contact form, and anonymous numbers about which pages get read. This page says exactly what happens to both.

The contact form
The form asks for your name and work email, and optionally your phone number, company, where you operate, and a description of the process you want to fix. We use them to reply to your enquiry and, if it goes further, to run the engagement.
A submission does two things. It appends a row to a private Google Sheet we use to track enquiries, and it sends a notification email to info@edfoal.com through Resend, our email provider. Both are tools we use to read and answer your message — neither sells or reuses it.
The form has a checkbox asking us to keep you off the mailing list. Tick it and we reply about that enquiry only.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and which are not. It runs under Google Consent Mode: until you accept, it stores nothing in your browser and sends only an anonymous, cookieless signal that a page was viewed, with no identifier that persists between visits.
Accept, and Google Analytics sets its own cookies so it can recognise a returning browser and join a visit to the one before it. That is what lets us tell whether someone read a case study before getting in touch. Google processes this data as our analytics provider.
We never send the contents of the contact form to Google Analytics. When a form is submitted, the only thing recorded is that a submission happened.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as a refusal and do not ask.
Change your mind
You can turn analytics cookies on or off here at any time. It takes effect immediately, and clearing your browser storage resets the choice so you will be asked again.
Your current choice
Analytics cookies are off. We count the visit without cookies and without anything that identifies you.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served by Vercel, which keeps short-lived request logs that include IP addresses as part of running and securing the service. We do not use those logs for marketing.
How long we keep things
Enquiries stay in our records for as long as we have a reason to keep them — an active conversation, a live engagement, or a legal or accounting obligation. Ask us to delete yours and we will, unless one of those obligations requires otherwise.
Google Analytics data is retained according to the setting on our property, after which Google deletes the underlying event-level records.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it, or to withdraw consent you have given. Exercising any of them costs nothing and will not affect how we deal with you.
Write to info@edfoal.com and we will answer. If you are in the UK or the EU and think we have handled your data badly, you can also complain to your national data protection authority.
